Gardener at Heart

During my long absence I got to spend some time with a dear friend of mine in the hospital. If you've ever spent much time in the hospital, you know that you get to sit...a lot...and do nothing. While I was sitting there doing nothing, I decided to decorate my Styrofoam cup. I love drawing on Styrofoam. It grabs the pen tip and the ink just glides out so gracefully. It's easy to make it look nice. Here's how my gardening cup turned out. :)

Oh, and I own the copyright on that! :D

  1. Hopefully your friend is better now. The cups are cute and at first I thought they were plant pots.

  2. The cup would be perfect for some seedlings! I know only too well just how boring it is sitting and waiting in a hospital room or corridor. You found something far more creative to do than I ever did!

  3. Missy, I love that you maintain such a great, quirky sense of humor even after all you have been through lately. I am sure the hours in the hospital must have seemed endless! I too have drawn on a styrofoam cup and it is fun to work the pen through the soft material. Have a great weekend. Jennifer

  4. Oh thats so cute. I would say trade mark it but I've been reading about what it takes to trademark something.....it gave me a headache! You're pretty amazing Missy.

  5. Hmm.....if you started with a very large cup and after all that beautification put it in the oven and shrank it (after evacuating everyone so they don't breathe the fumes), would you have almost a flowerpot? Looks like you enjoyed your time there anyway!
